Greetings! Welcome to the first day! Today, we begin reviewing plot elements, so activity 2 and the homework are going to review the plot elements of conflict and resolution. The other activities are about getting to know each other and setting up our English 8 Notebooks, so we can get to gettin'. Activity 1. Do Now On the notecard, respond to these 5 questions. No, it doesn't have to be in complete sentences. Do not share your answers. We'll be using these cards to guess who belongs to each card. Activity 2: What's On Your Mind Group Activity Objective: Create a story with your group and act it out, so we can identify the conflict, the resolution, and the genre. Activity 3: Setting up our English 8 Notebook You may use a spiral or a composition book. This is where we will record ALL our work. It's up to you.
